Tidal River

Okay, this is the last photo from Maine. This is a tidal river, which means that its ebbs and flows are controlled by the tides. The water would disappear twice a day and get higher twice a day. It was really a gorgeous spot. Back to New York photos tomorrow!

Tidal rivers and estuaries are always good places for bird spotting.

I love the vegetation in the foreground, great capture. And, I'm sad we aren't going to see anymore Maine photos! I know you have some....haha

additional thought...
Sometimes, when taking a photograph, all the elements come together so well, one knows it will be good even before the shutter is clicked. I imagine you experienced that with this one!

It is so serene. It looks peaceful and quiet. In short, a scary place for a New Yorker. ;)
