Reflections

On the rooftop terrace at the Met Museum right now they are showing some works by the artist Jeff Koons. They happen to be made out of a shiny material and this was a photo taken in the reflection of one of them. You can see two of his works in the background of this photo. Taking a self portrait in the reflections seemed to be the favorite activity of all the visitors to the exhibit that day!

Get this Lori. I took a pic of a Jeff Koons today. I wasn't sure whose work it was but I looked at the Met website today and figured it out.

Does all his work look like balloon animals? The one I shot is Red and was in the general vicinity of Broadway not too far from the WTC. I could be mixed up about the locale, I was walking in the wrong direction most of the day. It's confusing down there.

Is that you in the reflection? I caught my shadow the other day when I was taking photos.

A great idea for a photograph. (And a clever self portrait, too!)

Even though a reflection, the color and elongated shapes of the figures give this photograph the quality of a painting.

That is so cool! I love the curved New York skyline in the background and the colour of the metal makes it all looks sunny and spaced out! Excellent photo.

Btw - nice to have you back :)
