Kite flying

Though the weather still feels like summer, there won't be many days left for kite flying before the fall. This man was using the open space on Governor's Island to practice flying his kite. He had a fancy looking one actually, with two different sets of strings to control it. It was fun to watch him trying to master it. Here's to a good week ahead!

That's like a Bentley version of kites.

Nice colours Lori. I haven't flown a kite since I was a kid. It looks relaxing.

Yes it won't be long and winter will be upon us. I love kite flying and really do need to do it more.

Great, a man and his kite, like the composition. Those earthwork fortifications create a perfect tableau. This is one of my favorite times of the year, wish late summer lasted another two months! Then snow for Christmas.

That is a wonderful photo. It reminds me of the Windows XP wallpaper, Bliss.
