Favorite Flower

This was my favorite flower from a recent visit to the New York Botanical Garden. I have no idea what type of flower, I just liked the color and shape of it and I thought I would share it with you all. Have a great weekend and see you Monday!

I don't know why, but remembers me Camille of Monet , while it is walking in the lawn with his parasol... Very fascinating! Auguri per il tuo fine settimana. Ciao!

I think its an angel trumpet. They come in lots of colors. I have a single white one and a double purple. This one looks like a double light purple. There are other similar flowers though but I think that is what it is. Nice picture.

I think I may be wrong. I know someone who knows though and will ask her.

Hi Lori,
Thanks for your comment on my blog.
I survived the Greek fires. Actually I was in the Islands (Kos, Crete and Mykonos) where there were no fires; only the island of Evia was somehow affected. I’m glad to be back and catch up your posts!
The Union Square market post with the tomatoes just remembered me the terrific tomato salads with Feta cheese I had in Greece...
As I’m late, my posts at Blogtrotter are still in Bali 2005. Hope you enjoy it, anyhow!
Have a great weekend!

Hi Lori,

Sorry I haven't visited and said HI recently.

Was there a special event at the Botanical Garden? I remember seeing an ad on the side of the bus but can't remember what it was, except there is some event there.

I don't know the names of plants and flowers. I've just been trying to look up some local Florida plants I've come across recently.

It's a beauty though, whatever it is.

Go with gardener Greg, he knows. I didn't know Angel Trumpet came in double form. I want one.
