Today I'm showing a view of Union Square in Manhattan. There is a wonderful greenmarket there several times a week and that's where I took the photos of the tomatoes and corn that I showed last week. Union Square is also a place where lots of meetings and demonstrations take place, and there is a Christmas market there in December. It's quite a center of activity. I wish you all a good weekend!

And to you as well. The square does look well used and vibrant.I bet its a great place for people watching.
For me, the plaza - with her people, the retailers, the green - it is the only way according to which the city is able salvae herself . Ciao!
Nice wide shot showing the activity of Union Square.
I don't think I've ever been there! I have to remember that place next time I am in 'the city'.
You have a good weekend, too!

I would like to visit in December...love Christmas fairs. You take me places I can never really go. Thanks.
It sure does look busy. Nice place to people watch and get some great shots.
I have taken a couple photos from up at Filene Basement too but none of my photos came out as nicely as yours.
Good job!
Sorry, I was a bit absent lately.
Union Square is one of my favourites: Barnes & Noble, Blue Water Grill and W Hotel (and Union Square Café just around the corner), what do you need more?
Lovely pictures: the Flatiron is superb; the Soho made me wish to be there; and the umbrellas are stunning…
Have a great weekend!
Gil
