Kayaking

Another photo I took during my run last week...this is of people getting ready to take a kayak ride in the Hudson. During the warmer months, free kayak rides are offered through the Downtown Boathouse. (http://www.downtownboathouse.org/) You can take out a kayak for a half-an-hour and it's really fun!

Would be a way to get a different perspective of NYC photos as well. Hope the water is quite calm ...

That's neat. Really summery looking.

Lovely Wife wants a kayak and to learn to use one. There's lots of streams and creeks and lakes here that people kayak on.

G'day from Australia, Lori,

I followed your link from OldManLincoln and I see many familiar faces here in the comments section.

I would imagine the flower is part of the petunia family, judging by its shape, but the leaves are not petunia leaves.

I post a lot of advice for photographers and writers on my site. Like you, I'm also very keen on anything that grows.

I've been meaning to do that but keep forgetting. I remember asking some friends early during the summer if he was interested in going kayaking on the Hudson but one of them the water was dirty.

So that suggestion pretty much died there. :-( Wish I had pressed them to go.
