Vesuvio

I love the independent bakeries like this one in Soho. Unfortunately as New York seems to be taken over by the chain stores, they are disappearing. Vesuvio Bakery is one of my favorites, with delicious bread! They didn't have much in the window when I passed by on this day, but what was inside looked wonderful.

I feel the same about coffee shops - We have one that's outrunning Starbucks and I hope it keeps going.
I really enjoyed looking through your photos.

I note in my small notebook with spiral. that gives desire for making a turning there

The photo is indeed very, very beautiful! It makes me imagine while you are choosing the type of bread to buy, you look at it, you feel the perfume of it...
Buon appetito!

I'm the same way. I love to go somewhere with those little shops instead of the malls.

I always like to shop from local store...n yes, when I visit new places I opt for local food instead of any chain hotels :))

Love to see this bakery's photo, Lori. When I enlarged it, WOW, it was just great. I've never been to NY, but would love to go one day.

Love Bakery...we don't have any cute ones like that one in the picture. I guess that's why I do the Starbucks thing. If we had one like that....I'd be there!

I walked by Vesuvio every Sunday for 5 years when I volunteered for God's Love, We Deliver on Spring & 6th Ave. But it was always closed and/or empty.

It is a beautiful cafe but I have never gotten anything there.

I love arches. I really love waterfalls too. I love my coffee. I would love to be sitting by that waterfall, sipping my coffee.
