Summer Favorites

One reason I'm sorry to see summer go is I will miss all the delicious summer vegetables in the farmer's markets. (These pictures are from the Union Square market last weekend.) My favorites are tomatoes and corn, and the peaches too. Oh well, at least we'll have some for a few more weeks!

"Union Square market" c'est pas un marché bio ?. Les marches dans les villes, cela donne une impression d'une promenade dans la campagne en plein milieu des immeubles

“Union Square market” it is not a market bio ?. The steps in the cities, that gives an impression of a walk in the countryside right in the middle of the buildings

Oh Yummy, two of my favorites, tomatoes and corn...!

By the way, I want to thank you for passing on the Blogger Award to me. That was a very sweet and thoughtful thing to do... and I really appreciate it.
Love you girlfriend.

You might want to get your fill before the temperature drops. :-)

I like the photos and that that represent (the tomatoes seem indeed a lot of bio).

We have had some of the best peaches ever this year. And the tomatoes that came from our garden looking the size of golf balls instead of baseballs, were absolutely delicious and the corn. Even the field corn was better than normal. I attribute some of this to the drought we have had and the rest to blind luck.

The county fair we attended was filled with produce the likes of which I have not seen in my lifetime. Everything was larger, and had better color than ever.

Your photos are wonderful.

I love me some fresh tomatos. Lovely Wife called me while ago and said she'd just bought a bunch.

Nice thing about Florida is that we can at least buy them all year. Gotta have me a tomato and mayo sandwich on white bread from time to time.
