Salzburg at Night

Salzburg was such a lovely city and wonderful for exploring. The fortress that you can see on the top of the hill was built in 1077, amazing! I read that it is the oldest fortress in Europe that has survived intact. We went to a concert in the fortress and thought we might have to spend the night up there after they closed the lift. But luckily we made it down!

If it had happened I'm sure they would have found somewhere to put you up.

je ne connais pas Salzburg, mais la forteresse est très belle, surtout avec ta photo de nuit
I do not know Salzburg, but the fortress is very beautiful, especially with your photo night

Wonderful night-time photo. It would be great walking along the waterway.

Yes, it is beautiful there. I've been there about 22 years ago, also in winter, we were taking a horse drawn sleigh ride throught he city, that was very fun. I am glad you got to see all this!

Phew, you made it down! If you didn't, you would have been able to say casually "oh, I slept in a fortress from 1077", which does sound great in any cocktail party. ;)
It looks very pretty. Is that snow that I see in the foreground?
