Wiener Staatsoper - Inside and Out
We had the good fortune to attend a performance at the Vienna State Opera while we were in Vienna. It was a performance of Die Fledermaus that we saw on New Year's Day. It was really great. The picture above is the opera house from the outside. The one below is a picture at the end of the opera!

Wunderbar!!! You know, one of the things that I really miss since living in NYC, is that tradition we had back home. On January 1st, we would all wake up a little bit late, but early enough to catch the Concert du Nouvel An on TV (around noon). Then we would have brunch. The concert is kind of always the same sempiternel Viennese waltzes with ballets. But it's tradition. Miss that!
It looks wonderful from the inside. I imagine it was a real pleasure and an exiting experience to go to the opera.
You have made me want to go to those cities.

An evening at the opera in Vienna, it must be great, you have to be lucky
All the persons that love Vienna and the "bel canto" (I included) envy the yours attractive experience. :D
Love the horse and carriage. Also, the soft lighting on the building looks great.
