If you have used the subway in New York you've probably noticed these lights at the entrance to many subway stations. They were intended to indicate to passengers whether an entrance is open at night and has a token booth. The green ones mean the station is open and red ones mean it's closed, or is just an exit. I noticed this one yesterday, but it looks like it could use some cleaning! I hope you all have a nice week ahead.

We need that size of globe in the drive through bank..Sometimes I can't tell if in on or off!!
Nice picture.
I love the concept of the green globe too because I use the subway at night quite frequently.
There something quite spooky about this shot, a touch of sci fi. Bring on Dr Who.
a chaque fois je me trompe quand je suis a NYC, il va falloir que je me fasse un pense bĂȘte
Cette nuit, j'ai vu en direct la victoire des GIANTS, c'est superbe. Maintenant on va gagner le SuperBowl
Each time I am wrong when I was NYC, it will be necessary that I be a reminder
That night, I saw live the victory of GIANTS, it is superb. Now we will win the SuperBowl

Actually, I did not notice these in Dec., but heh, there is so much to see!! Thanks for pointing it out though.
Nice factoid about NYC's subway system ... makes sense to me. Cool green color too.
