Traffic

Just a picture today of some typical New York traffic. Actually this picture was taken on a Sunday, so it wasn't all that bad. But some days can be terrible. They have been talking about a "congestion pricing" plan where they would charge per car to enter midtown. It's been very controversial, but it might not be a bad idea.

Thank goodness I don't drive in NYC.

A good shot. The congestion charge worked well for London.

Gridlock in NYC on a Sunday!?! Wow! I thought it was a typical weekday, until reading the post. Lori, you captured it well!

This is what I remember most when I visited NY years ago, the traffic.

They have a congestion charge in London and it has worked very well. They are talking about using the idea in other big cities. Luckily we don't have huge traffic problems in Cheltenham!

Yes, that looks like 'the big apple'....do you own a car?

Traffic in New York, and I'll face that in Southern CA too.

Love the picture...coming from such a small town, big cities look exciting.

Thanks for your comments everyone! Gudl, I just saw your question. No, I don't have a car, thankfully!
