Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all! I'm back from my trip and I thought I'd show a few photos this week from Munich, Salzburg and Vienna. It's so beautiful there! Here are some little marzipan pigs from a shop in Munich. They are good luck symbols at new years time, along with chimney sweeps, four-leaf clovers and horseshoes. Looking forward to catching up on all of your pictures!

I was looking at your photo before reading your text and thought 'they look like the ones in Germany'.
How fun! I am glad you had a good time in the old country!!

Welcome back, Lori!
Many good things for 2008.
Ah marzipan, it's a very "germanic" specialty indeed. Yum!
Looking forward to see your travel mementos.
Did you go to the Wiener Philharmoniker's New Year concert by any chance?

Hi everyone, thanks for your visits!

Barb, no I didn't buy one of the pigs, unfortunately!

Olivier, I hope I can pass by Paris soon too!

Eliane, no we didn't see the Vienna Philharmonic concert (except on an outdoor screen!) We did get to the opera though, which was great.
