Still Green

I can't believe I took this picture just last week. I'm looking at all of the fall foliage in people's blog photos and everything is still so green here. Colder temperatures are coming, so maybe there will be some nice colorful leaves in the park soon. Until then, we can still appreciate the blooming flowers!

superbe photo, j'aime ce contrasme Nature / Immeuble. NYC ce n'est pas que du béton.

Beautiful flowers. And it looks like there are some more blooms coming, if the weather will allow.

I like the progression illustrated here; from vines, to trees to the architecture of the city itself. When I commuted to grad school in the city, always enjoyed experiencing a reprise of the fall in the city several weeks after the season had marched into winter a scant 30 miles away.

Also upon second glance, like the juxtiposition of the vine reaching as if to cover the building and dominate the city. Which is what might happen if we are not careful with this planet!

We spent last evening moving our plants indoors. There is a chill in the air today. Brrrrrr

I love the way the photo captured the greenery in the foreground and the skyline of Manhattan in the background.

It is a spectacular photo.
