Green Chimneys Float
This is another shot from yesterday's Columbus Day parade. These dogs were atop a float for an organization called Green Chimneys, which, according to their website, is a worldwide leader in animal-assisted therapy and activities for children with emotional, behavioral and learning challenges. I never heard of the group before but they had a nice float. Apparently the dogs are part of something called "Celebrity Dogs Unleashed" and were created by various celebrities for an auction to raise funds for the group. I couldn't get close enough to see who created these!

très kitch, c'est une superbe idée. et puis on a pas a les sortir ;o).
Quite cute, that.
I like the vibrant colors. Btw anytime you want to stop by for dinner, my door is open!
Colorful, worthy sounding org, but can't figure the relation of the name to their purpose! Have to look it up. Have a sunny day!
Quite interesting art project for a worthy cause.
Cool dogs. We need more parades around here.
I've heard about this kind of fundraising. Celebrities are given a standard thing and decorate it as they wish, the results are then auctioned off. I think a Cancer charity here did it with T-shirts. Its a good way to raise money.
Btw - nice colourful post :)
Cool. I saw you can bid on some cool things, too, like a half-hour session with Clive Davis, a day of falconry with Bobby Kennedy Jr., and a morning on the set of the Howard Stern show with Robin Quivers, to name a few. Found it at www.charityfolks.com/unleashed, but they've got lots of info at www.greenchimneys.org.
