Santa Fe Farmer's Market

These are just a few of the sights from the Santa Fe Farmer's Market. The market was a wonderful place to browse at all of the vegetables, breads, flowers, jams and chutneys....

...and of course the hot peppers!

There were lots of people at the market roasting peppers and there were many hot pepper products for sale. Most of them were much too hot for me. I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy foods!

Sante Fe now there's a name place to conjour with for someone who grew up on westerns. Love the chilli picture. I like spicy food but not too hot.

The little girl seems as though she is ready to dance.

Never thought of roasted hot peppers as street fair food and a healthy one at that! I'll try one. Yum?

Oh, I wish I was in New Mexico now! I can smell those green chiles roasting... mmmm, yum! They put chiles in everything down there. We have had green chiles shipped here and roasted them ourselves but its just getting too expensive to do. Now we buy local chile peppers and roast them, but its not quite the same. If we chance to visit Albuquerque at the right time of year, we bring them home frozen in our suitcases.

Did you see the Balloon Festival too?
