Columbus Day

This was one of the littlest participants in yesterday's Columbus Day parade up Fifth Avenue, marching with his parents I suppose. I guess he was wearing his Christopher Columbus outfit. It was a festive parade with lots of bands, floats and flags. I love a parade!

Seems like the only eastern half of the country has a Columbus Day parade. I can't recall when we've had here in Honolulu

I love a parade, I just wish Columbus Day was celebrated here. I love your air balloon photographs. You caught a very different and wonderful view.

I wonder who was more tired at the end of the parade - his parents or the little Christopher? NYC's St. Patrick's Day and Columbus Day pardes are always great fun, and then we have all the rest, too!

I all but forget about Columbus Day each October. One year his little ship stopped in the port of Rochester for a visit and we went to see it. The Nina is much smaller than one would ever imagine. Scary to think of crossing the ocean aboard those ships.

I like your photo.
