Deserted Beach

Things were pretty quiet on the beach at Coney Island on Saturday. Last summer I took a photo of the beach when it was much busier. The few people walking here were runners getting ready to start the Brooklyn Half Marathon, which began on the Coney Island Boardwalk. Saturday was a dreary day, but things were looking much better on Sunday. Have a nice week!

I really like the comparison with the photo from last year. Two very different moods.

I love these tones in your photo. It creates an interesting atmosphere where you get lost in deep thoughts.

I think it is so cool, that NYC has a beach like that! I really want to see it myself one day.

Nice picture ~~ I hoping for a walk on the beach soon, now that we have moved and are settled in.

Looks a bit chilly out there ... glad to hear that the sun came out of the clouds yesterday.

It is different to last years photo. It looks a nice place to visit, lots of space at this time of year.

Sometimes that is the best time to be at the beach. I love the solitude.
