Peace Fountain

Today I am showing a picture of the Peace Fountain on the grounds of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (Amsterdam Avenue between 110th and 113th streets). It is by the artist Greg Wyatt. Another time I will show you some photos I have of the inside of the cathedral.

Next to the cathedral is a pretty garden and here is a picture of the peacock who lives there.

cette sculpture est vraiment tres belle et tres surprenante. belles photos avec cet oiseau. Sinon, est ce qu'un jour "the Cathedral of St. John the Divine" sera finie ?

this sculpture is really very beautiful and very surprising. beautiful photographs with this bird. If not, is what one day “the Cathedral of St John the Divine” will be finished?

This is a link to an explanation about the fountain. The photo made me curious. I did see the devil on the bottom and the Arcangel on the top. I wondered about the meaning...very intersting! Thanks for sharing. So much to see in NYC!!

Hello everyone,

Olivier, Je ne pense pas qu'elle sera fini pendant nos vies, malheureusement. Il y avait un feu dans 2001 qui ont détruit une partie de la cathédrale. L'intérieur semblait très différent que je me suis rappelé.

Thanks for the link, Gudl!

I don't know where exactly I should put down this comment, but all your pictures are wonderful.

It looks like you're having a great time in NY. Do you like it there? :)
