5Pointz
This weekend I was in Long Island City, Queens and I passed this building covered in graffiti. It is called 5Pointz and apparently graffiti artists come from around the world to work here. I read online that it is the only nonprofit organization in the world dedicated to graffiti art. I never heard of it before! It was pretty amazing in person.

Fénix, yes it definitely makes an impression in person! These photos don’t really capture how colorful it was.
Merci Olivier et welcome back. Tu nous as manqué. C’est drôle, un ferme aux graffitis! J’aime ce nom pour cet immeuble. :-)
Hi Gudl, funky is a good way to put it!
Thanks Mandy! That’s exciting that you used another picture, I’m going to look right now!
Seen from the photograph it a place seems me fascinating, surely suitable for who it is at the search for a secret N. Y. :)
je connais une autre ferme aux graffitis, pres du PS1. il y a des graffitis vraiment tres beaux
I know another farm with the graffiti, beside the PS1. there are graffiti really very beautiful
Hi Nazzareno, yes I thought it was fascinating too! Thanks for visiting.
Bonjour Olivier. Oui! C'est le même ferme aux graffitis pres du PS1. Samedi je suis allée à PS1 et je l'ai trouvé par hasard. C'était très proche du PS1. C'était un bon endroit pour prendre des photographies!
Hi Olivier, yes that's the same one! I went to P.S. 1 on Saturday and I happened by this building by chance. It was a good place to take photographs!
I love it. Down here we have a boat that has washed up along the road and everyone paints little things on it like pictures, sayings and personal messages. I love the pictures. Thank you,
Greg
Hi Lori: I just found you through Abraham. Your photos are wonderful. I will come back and look at all your previous posts.
It's looks nice when it's suppose to be this way. A store owner tried to start a board here but he had to take it down. He just wanted somewhere for the kids to do that so they wouldn't do it on business and get into trouble.
This is just stupendous. Only in America!
(arrived here through Olivier of Evry DP)
Some new visitors! How exciting! Thanks everyone for your comments. :-)
OMG, your photo of the graffiti are spectacular. I love the colors. I need to stop by there and take some photos too. I have seen this while on the 7 train to Manhattan.
Thanks Ming. You should definitely take some photos there. It was so colorful!
WoW Wee, I never seen anything like this before, looks really neat though.
