Bryant Park Night Scene

This is a view of Bryant Park in the evening. The tall building on the right is the Radiator Building, a New York landmark that is now the Bryant Park Hotel. It was the subject of a 1927 Georgia O'Keeffe painting. Here is a link to some information about it.

Enjoy the long holiday weekend (for those in the U.S.!) and see you on Tuesday.

An architecture really detail, remembers the medieval one or the castles of Tolkien. ..a place fascinating. ..to stroll, to speak and (hurray) to enchant itself, how I see. :) ciao!

I like the light and how you have captured the contrast between the high buildings and the café. When I was in New York a couple of years ago I spent quite some time in Bryant Park as there was a free WiFi there. I could update my blog and keep in touch with Sweden via Skype.

This photograph is really superb. My park favorite of NYC. Veiled which puts very good mood to me, I adore this park with the Frenchwoman, to come to rest me there, to drink Capuccino. (beautiful reference to the table of Georgia O' Keeffe, it is very beautiful). Our small garden of Luxembourg with NYC. I wish you a good weekend.

je voulais rajouter (vite fait je te promet) il y a une photo que j'adore faire dans Bryant park, c'est de prendre le Radiator building, et derriere l'ESB le soir avec toutes les couleurs. un moment magique.
Tu vas aller au festival de films ?

I wanted to add (quickly made I promises to you) there is a photograph which I adore to make in Bryant park, it is to take Radiator building, and behind the ESB the evening with all the colors. one magic moment. You will go to the film festival?

Hi Lori, Thanks for your nice comment on my photos. I was going to ask you about that tall building but you wrote about it. Nice capture. The lighting is great.

Did you find out about the yellow taxi's going green? Just curious. When you do, let me know.

Hello everyone and thanks!

Peter, that's amazing that you kept up with your blog even on vacation!

Barb, I just looked up about the taxis and I think it means going green in the sense of making them more energy efficient and less polluting. (I'll leave a note on your blog too, in case you don't see this.)

A good weekend to everybody!

Also have in your city, of the streets with a name in contradiction with the street? (Street example of the restaurants without any restaurants).

Hello latest visitors.

To my friend from Martel, that's a very good idea for a blog subject. I will have to look for a street in nyc with a contradictory name. I'm going to check it out now on your blog!

Very nicely done. I took a couple photos of the Bryant Park at night earlier this year (during Fashion Week) but none came out as nicely as yours.

Ming, I'm sure they were gorgeous photos. I would love to see fashion week!

Beautiful shot. Caught at that moment when the lights in the foreground are just right with the darkening evening sky.
