Cruise Ship

I've never taken a ride on one of these giant cruise ships, though I often see them docked along the piers on the west side. I wish I could go on board for an hour and take a tour! This boat was awaiting passengers and was ready to head out to sea. Can you see the rock climbing wall just in front of the smoke stacks? I'm not sure its destination though perhaps the Caribbean or somewhere warm.

What a unique perspective! They certainly don't look like the trans-oceanic liners of the past. I toured the original Queen Mary drydocked in Long Beach, CA years ago and it was very impressive, old elegance. The exact opposite of my longest "sea journey" the car ferry from Cape May to Delaware. No rock wall climbing on that boat!

I know lots of people who go on cruises and love them, but not for me far too confined.

cela donne envie de faire une croisière, et d'arriver dans NYC par le port, comme dans les anciens temps.
it gives desire to make a cruise, and to arrive in NYC by the harbour, as in old times.
