Philadelphia Museum
Last weekend I had a wonderful visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, one of the largest museums in the United States. As you can see from the banner, they are about to open a big exhibit on Cezanne, but unfortunately we missed it by a few days! Oh well, I'll have to go back. According to what I read on Wikipedia: "Each year the Museum puts on 15 to 20 special exhibitions and is visited by 800,000 people. Widely regarded as a world-class art institution, the Philadelphia Museum of Art includes not only its iconic Main Building, but also the Rodin Museum and several other historic sites." (I just realized this is my 500th post. I never thought I'd make it that far!)

Congratulations on reaching 500, Lori, a significant achievement! A month or so ago, I looked back at your first year of photographs, which I had never seen, and it was fascinating seeing you use your talent and hone your skills as you progressed. Certain favorite subjects of yours have surfaced, too! I look forward to each day's view though your eyes and consider it a special privilege and treat!
Yes, Cezanne worth going back for, really a short hop on the train or by car from the city, even for a day trip.
And I like this photograph, but I think you caught her off-guard, a bit!
Aha, that's where our Cézannes have gone!
500th visit to Philly? I am impressed! Bravo!
Yes, I'm impressed with the 500 visits too.
Enjoy Paris.
superbe composition, et les lettres entre les colonnes cela rend vraiment bien.
beautiful composition, and letters between columns makes it really good.
I like how you put the statue in the foreground!

Congrats on 500!
And Thank You for posting that photo opf the Philadelphia Art Museum. I haven't been in 25 years, and have been meaning to take my boys. The Cezanne exhibit is a perfect reason!
Oh, and thanks for visiting my blog!
500!!!! Holy Cow.
I was in Philadelphia for a couple of days last year but didn't make it to the museum. I'll have to go back.
Maybe some day I'll visit Philly too. I'd like to see the historic sites (and visit my friend in South Jersey).
Congratulations!! 500 is a big landmark!
I love the picture. The way you have the statue in the forefront is perfect!!
