Green Tomatoes

Aren't these tomatoes beauties? I saw them yesterday at the green market during my lunch hour. I've never seen green ones like this with these interesting markings. They are featuring all kinds of special heirloom tomatoes now. There's nothing better than a summer tomato! But I ended up buying peaches instead. I hope you enjoy your weekend and do something summery!

Thanks for sharing ... I've never seen green tomatoes in a market. I guess they'll ripen in the stack?

These types of heirloom tomatoes are delicious. They are ripe as they are. We have been eating as many of them as we can. Try them. I guarantee you'll love them.

One year my daughter grew tomatoes that were "black" or purple. Interesting. Somehow my brain tells me tomatoes should be red, but I bet those green ones are pretty yummy too.

Those look like green zebra tomatoes; some debate if they are true heirlooms. Nevertheless, they are delicious, as I hope your weekend is, too!

I bought some of those and am drying the seeds now so that I can plant them. They taste great. I had never seen anything like that either until this year.

Unusual and really pretty. Interesting colors too with a mixture of orange, green and a bit of red. I've never seen these kind ot tomotoes either. Hard to find them around. I'd love to try them sometimes.

These are yummy tomatoes! They're especially good in a shallot-lime vinaigrette. Great picture!

We had yellow 'peach tomatoes' for dinner tonight. I found them interesting, too!

The two tomato plants that I planted have given so many tomatoes that we have carried some to our neighbors. They are the traditional red ones.

My daughter did bring over some peaches from her tree and they were so good.

I like your photograph of your tomatoes and I have never seen any that were ripe and also this color.

I will put the Deer Hunting story on the Brookville Blog for Sunday (or tomorrow). I sometimes wonder if I could still walk through the woods without making a sound.
