I guess someone was broken-hearted and decided to get rid of their heart-shaped mattress. Actually, it did look like it was in pretty bad shape! Sorry to be showing you a photo of someone's trash on Valentine's day, but I thought this heart mattress would be appropriate. A Happy Valentine's day to everyone!

A brilliant post for valentines day!
Interesting photo ... it must have seen its days or nights ... :-D I'm sure it must have drawn some stares as well.
Happy Valentines Day! I hate to say it but it looks like that mattress has seen some action!
That is very funny and original! Happy Valentine's Day to you, too!!!
Oh Lori, what a great post for Valentines Day... Old or worn, a Lot of Love probably happened there!!! (Hee Hee)
Wonder what "shape" their new mattress is????
Happy Valentines Day!
Looks like a good bed for a cat. There's a story behind that bed that I don't want to hear. Ha!
Met ya over at Wanda's and thought, hmmm, she looks nice. I'll check out her place. It is a nice place you have.
Nice to meet you,
Angie
Hi Lori, I’m back after a short break… and lucky to get here in time to see a nice post. However, can't imagine how to sleep in such a mattress... ;)
The pink building is also amazing, and Washington Square North remembered me of the very late night strolls (by 22:00 or 3:00 a.m.), coming from Blue Note or Visiones to catch a cab at Park Avenue... Sometimes, I met some guys that were a bit threatning, but I believe they looked at me with the same feeling... ;))
Thanks for your comments at Blogtrotter
Wish you a happy Valentine’s Day!
2:00 or 3:00 a.m., of course... ;))
awwww!! that was a clever choice, Lori :)
I thought it was the padding from those lip shaped couches! I had no idea there were heart shaped mattraces - I want my leg room!
Aw, there's something so cheesy - yet poignant - about that photo.
I can only hope that the mattress was destroyed from being the site of too much lovin'.

Hey, I just breezed in via Blogger, and I must say, I am impressed with your photography! I love the Heart Mattress...kind of poignant in a way, at least in my eye!
Visited NYC for the first time in my 52 years last Nov...I liked it!
Good luck with the photography, and the Blog!
