Riverbank State Park

This is a picture I took at Riverbank State Park in Harlem. It's a great park and has lots of facilities like baseball fields, a pool and an outdoor ampitheater. It was built on top of a residential waste water treatment facility and is quite a unique place with great views along the Hudson. This is from the parks department website:

Riverbank is the only park of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. Inspired by urban rooftop designs in Japan, this 28-acre multi-level landscaped recreational facility is a state-of-the-art park facility. Rising 69 feet above the Hudson River, Riverbank offers a wide variety of recreational, athletic and arts experiences for all ages, interests and abilities.

P.S. It was from this vantage point that I took the photo looking south along the Hudson in my previous post.

c'est superbe, tres belle photo et cela montre que la ville de NYC essaye de donner une nouvelle idée d'Harlem et je trouve cela tres bien.

it is superb, very beautiful photograph and that show that the town of NYC tries to give a new idea of Harlem and I find that very well.

Oh Wow! When I first noticed this photo I noticed all the greens. The green lines on the building and the greens with the trees and plants. Did it rain before you took this photo? Usually, right after the rain the colors are vibrant like this. I think the river with the blue just sets the greens off so well. Love the shot.

thats a unique example of a green architecture,Lori...! Using the waste water water treatment facility plant as a base and building on top of it is a wondeful notion. It always creditable to use the urban spaces in multipurpose ways in metro-cities, thanks for sharing!!

A "crisp" picture and a nice bridge in the background. I like bridges.

Looks inviting and also good to know that water treatment plant was converted into something of usefulness.
