Love Statue
This is the "Love" statue by Robert Indiana on Sixth Avenue at 55th Street in Manhattan. It seems to be a popular spot for photography. This woman was photographing some sort of figure in front of it. Here is some information from Wikipedia about the statue.
"Indiana's best known image is the word "LOVE" in a square with a tilted "O". This image, first created for a Christmas card for the Museum of Modern Art in 1964, was included on an 8 cent U.S. Postal Service stamp in 1973, the first of their regular series of "love stamps." Sculpture versions are on display at Sixth Avenue in New York, the Pratt Institue campus in Brooklyn, the Indianapolis Museum of Art and in the so called "Love Park" in Philadelphia, among others.

j'aime beaucoup aussi cette statue, et bravo pour ta photo avec la photographe. J'adore NYC et toutes ces oeuvres d'arts dans la rue. celle là represente l'amour, qu'il y a t-il de plus beau.
I like much also this statue, and cheer for your photograph with the photographer. I adore NYC and all these works of art in the street. that there represents the love, that there is it of more beautiful.

How not to appreciate a so nice love message? ( would like to see the photo so of photographs ... ).
I think most people would have waited until the woman taking a picture of the statue finished and moved on, but I think you made it a more stimulating photo by leaving her in. A good example of "street photography". This is the kind of photo that will only be more interesting as years go by.
very nice..colorful!
I thought this looked familiar. I guess I've seen it before, though I've never been to NY.
Kinda neat though. I like it.
Well this is a great shot and I just L*O*V*E it!! You find the most interesting things to share with us....so fun to come here each day!! Thanks Lori!
Cue The Beatles......All you need is...................
I imagine couples enjoy posing against, or possibly amongst these letters?
If I'm not wrong, we have that same Love Statue in Singapore. :)
I've seen this on stamps and wondered why they put the word on their stamps -- I didn't realise it was a statue -- now I understand.
