This is another photo I took inside the main branch of the New York Public Library. I thought it looked very "phantom of the opera." Not real candles of course!

I have to agree with you. This looks like something out of an old horror movie of some kind. Very beautiful, enchanting and tense at the same time. Great capture.
I love to take pictures and am trying to learn about photography. I hope this blog will inspire me to take more photos of the world around me and become a better photographer. Thanks for visiting!

Cara Lori, more than to "the phantom of the opera" it does to think me the detail of a church. Very fascinating.
B & W does this justice a good choice. Thanks for the link. Cheers
un bel effet sur ta photo, tres bon choix pour le sepia. mais as tu vu le fantome de la librairie ?
a beautiful effect on your photograph, very good choice for sepia. but you considering the fantome have bookshop?
It reminds me of a church also. I like the toning you did on this one - it suits the mood of the photo well.
This is a great shot!
All of our libraries are modern. I love the old look of this one.
Nevertheless. A nice shot of the candles in the library. Very bright.
Thanks for all of your visits.

with the treatment u gave the image, it reminded me of Hitchcock's classic , "Rebecca" :)

Do I hear organ music....Yes it's coming from below.....
Love that Library...I want to visit it someday.
I agree, it looks dreamy or spooky. That's an amazing looking library.
Wise choice of the sepia tones ... very classic feel to the shot. :-)
