Noguchi

We are fortunate to have so many wonderful museums here in New York and the Noguchi Museum in Queens is one of them. Housed in his former workshop in Long Island City, it features many of his sculptures and architectural designs, and has a beautiful garden. You can read more about on their website.

Confess I knew little about him, other than his furniture; until, that is I reviewed his biographic time line and saw some of his other work I had been familiar with, but not known that they were his creations. The large "ring" sculpture is very appealing. Thanks for the education and good start to the week!

j'ai toujours voulu y aller (mais je trouve que c'est pas facile d'accès), superbe photo minimaliste qui représente bien l'œuvre de l'artiste.

The big ring looks like a giant bangle bracelet made of red jade.

Curiosity won, as found that the "ring" is called "Sun at Noon" and the one behind is called "The Mountain."
