Noguchi part two

One last look at the interesting works of Isamu Noguchi at the Noguchi Museum in Queens. This part of the museum is partially open to the outdoors and though they are covered by a roof, the sculptures are somewhat exposed to the elements. It's a cool place!

Interesting to see how parts of the sculpture oxidized, and others didn't.

Appears Noguchi used interestingly shaped stones that were already weathered to some degree, then carved some away, leaving the original weathering in some places. They may look different in five or ten years and that seemed to be his idea.
