This is a shot of the Marshall's Point Lighthouse near Port Clyde, Maine. There are over 60 lighthouses in the "down east" past of Maine. Here is a description from http://www.lighthousegetaway.com/: "Port Clyde has a long tradition as an artist’s retreat. Andrew Wyeth had a studio here, and his son Jaime is not far away. The picturesque harbor and the light at Marshall Point still serve as a classroom for art workshops. The 31 foot tower of bricks with a granite base was built in 1823 and refurbished in 1857. "

Beautiful image, Lori. If asked again next year, I will go- this area is about a long hour away from my neighbor's place inland.

The shadows confuse me at the higher latitude - was this taken near mid day?
