Olsen house

This is a shot of the Olsen house in Cushing, Maine. It's part of the Farnsworth Art Museum now. The painter Andrew Wyeth spent a lot of time here and the house and the people who lived here were the inspiration for many of his works. The painting "Christina's World," now at MOMA in New York, was painted here.

It and its surroundings have the appearance of a Wyeth painting. I'd half expect Christina to be there!

That looks like a cool place to spend the summer in New England!

I stmbled upon it several years ago. I live nearby but was never sure exaclty where it was located. It was quite a "shock" to realize where I was at the time.
