Night at the Ballet

I had a real treat last night in getting to see a performance of the New York City Ballet at the Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. They performed some classics like Balanchine and some newer works as well. It was beautiful! This is the outer lobby of the theater. The statues in the middle of the photo are called the Circus Performers. The photographs on the wall at the back are an exhibit celebrating the 75th anniversary of the School of American Ballet.

Update: Not feeling well Friday so I didn't manage to post a picture today. But I'm sure I'll be back next week. Have a great weekend!

Glad to see that you thoroughly enjoyed yourself. Before reading your caption, thought at first it was the interior atrium of the Bobst Library at NYU, but that is many more stories in height and I understand those walkways are now glassed in.

Ballet, while beautiful art, can be a physically demanding and brutally tough profession. Know someone who began her long career in NY continued as a principal dancer in Europe for well over a decade and a half and now has a school north of NYC. Don't know if I would ever wish it for a child of mine to pursue, though.

Suspected something was up as you are so faithful in posting or advising all of breaks. Hope you feel better, Lori, and soon!
