Met Opera

I had a lovely night at the Metropolitan Opera this past weekend. I saw their production of La Boheme, which was so beautiful. Here is the curtain about to go up.

And, we had an added bonus when they honored the director Franco Zeffirelli onstage after the second act. (He's the man in the middle with the white scarf holding the microphone.) It was a great night of opera!

je suis jaloux, tu en as de la chance. cela devait être une superbe soirée. J'aime beaucoup la photo de fin, la "Standing Ovation".

I am jealous, you have good luck. This should be a great evening. I love the photo of late, "Standing Ovation".

I've never been to the opera. I don't know if I would enjoy it or not, but I'd like to give it a try just once to see.

Very dramatic, that curtain! A great sense of scale, suggesting how grand the performances must be.

That looks like one huge theatre, and every seat seems like it has a decent view of the stage. Nice shots!
