Guggenheim exhibit

I stopped in the Guggenheim Museum this weekend to see the exhibit by Cai Guo-Qiang, the Chinese artist who I think is now based in New York. I heard that he made a very interesting use of the museum space, particularly with this work called Inopportune: Stage One. It features nine real cars suspended from the ceiling of the museum. I'm not sure how they got them up there but it was pretty amazing to see in person. I wish you all a good week!

Ok that is just strange. I guess in some people's opinion, that is art. I like a good painting or picture in a frame and not one that is blank either. :)

Another great shot! Another really interesting perspective.

Forgive me, I have to ask: did you use auto-focus?

Forgot to say that I know parking in NYC is at a premium but this is a bit extreme!

Cool shot & exhibit!

Looks like the interiors and engines were removed to make the cars as light as possible.

Oh wow! That is spectacular. I bet the museum have to get additional insurance for that exhibition. ;-)

Hello all, thanks for stopping by today.

Greg, I knew someone would say something like that! :)

Dan, yes I did use auto-focus. (At least I think I did!) I need to figure out the little details of my camera like that!

I like the parking comments too, very funny!

Oh Lori! What a surprise when I saw your photo! I was so excited... It reminds me my recent visit to NY and thus to the Guggenheim museum. These cars hanging in the air were pretty amazing.
Olivier comment is pretty funny.
