Skating

They are skating again at the rink at Rockefeller Center. I've never skated there, but it looks like it would be fun. This is right in front of the Christmas tree I showed yesterday. It is a very pretty spot when the tree is all lit up. Have a nice weekend everyone!

The rink of Rockefeller center..... The Rockefeller center is really the vision that we have Christmas in NYC. She is beautiful, especially at night with all the lights.
Beautiful picture that dream.
I wish you a good weekend

The happiness, that true, is simple to be grabbed. You has only to know how to recognize her...

I tried skating once on Lake Geneva. After I fell which only too about 3 seconds, little kids were skating all around me and laughing so I never tried again,

I've never learned to skate. Tried as a child, but fell down too many times and decided this isn't fun.
But...how I love to watch skaters, so smooth, so graceful..I could sit and watch for hours.

Neat shot!

I guess ya'll are gearing up for the big parade next Thursday. Do you go to that?

Hi everyone,

Kerri, no I've never actually seen the thanksgiving parade in person. I'm always out of town visiting family over thanksgiving!

Nice shot, Lori. I was there on July 3rd and it was quite a bit different. I haven't been there in the winter. Bonnie
p.s. I check your blog almost every day and really enjoy your photos. You definately have an eye and I can't imagine how you cover so much territory each week. Have a great Thanksgiving. I expect you and Kelly will be at the farm. We are in FL through the holidays this year. No plans to head north.

Hey Lori, completely unrelated but I thought you might be interested. I saw a very nice documentary about the Steinway factory. You probably heard about it: "Note by note" and it currently plays at the Film Forum. They follow the birth of a concert Steinway, with the factory workers and well known pianist commenting. I recommend it. But don't wait too long - I am not sure how long it will play there.

Christmas season is REALLY here!!

I remember taking a photo of the Rockefeller skating rink last December when I started the photo blog. Ah...it's almost a year now.

I never learned to skate. Now I'm too old to learn. :-(

When I visited NY years ago, I got to see this site. I don't know how to ice skate though.
