Marathon

On Sunday I ran in the New York City Marathon and it was great fun! I'm showing photos today from the start going over the Verezano Narrows Bridge and the finish in Central Park. The marathon in New York is a super race and it's lots of fun, even for slow runners like me. I recommend that everyone try it, at least once!

Bravo tu es courageuse, l'ambiance doit y etre sympathique, et puis voila une maniere originale de visiter NYC ;o). Passer le Verezano, cela doit etre tres impressionnant.
Pas trop dur ce lundi.

Congrats Lori!!! As a slow runner myself (Marine Corps Marathon 2002), I'd say that it's at the back of the pack that you have the most fun!!! Don't you agree? I went to cheer the finishers at the 26th mile yesterday.
So, you'll do it again next year?

great in the action shot on the bridge - my father ran marathons in the days before they were "events" - not for me but one of my nephews is a regular in the London Marathon.

Thanks everyone for your words of congratulations!

Blue Wave - yes I brought my camera, luckily it's not too big!

Olivier - Pas trop dur aujourd'hui. Tout va bien!

Bergson- My time was 4 hours and 42 minutes. I'm not the fastest runner!

Eliane - I'd like to run the Marine Corps marathon some time. I hear it's fun! Hopefully I'll do New York again next year.

Thanks everyone!

I drove across this bridge once. It was so long and high! I can't imagine running the length of this bridge, much less a marathon!
