Reenactment

Last weekend they had a reenactment of the Battle of Ft. Washington, in Ft. Tryon park in Washington Heights. I don't know much about it but apparently it did not end well for the Americans. The reenactment brought out lots of people from the community to learn about the history of the area.

We have had American Revolution reenactors of Jean-Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, comte de Rochambeau and his troops marching though and setting camp, fun and interesting to see. Rochambeau and his troops made camp here in the Plains in 1781.

Those re-eanctments must be fun to watch in person. Seen a few on TV ...
