Another building I passed the other day during my stroll down Grand Street, was the former Police headquarters building, which was left by the police in 1973 and turned into condominiums in 1987. I wonder if its called Police Academy 7 ??? I've read that a few old prisons have also been turned into hotels. As you say interesting places to stay.

Always an imposing structure - but even more so when the NYPD brass was headquartered inside. I wonder if anyone lives in the holding cells? :o)
