Hail to the Chief!

Stike up the band, we have a new President!!! Soon they will be playing hail to the chief for President Barack Obama! It was an exciting night watching the election returns. President Obama has a lot to tackle when he takes over, but here's hoping for good things ahead!! Congratulations Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States!

If I was an Americam I would have voted for Obama. He has a huge job to do in a hugely difficult world circumstances. But great news for all of us outside the US.

Agreed, a great study in concentration. The Mustangs are a very good band, but our school just won the Statewide competetion over them for the second year in a row!

At a moment like this, I am reminded of the scene in the film, "The Candidate" where after finally winning, President-elect Robert Redford, realizing the emormity of the task ahead looks at his aide, and says, "Now what do we do?" Often as not, unforseen circumstances dictate the agenda, as the hostage crisis during Carter's years or 9/11 did to "W." Let's wish all good luck.

What better than a marching band for todays historic events! Glad we all got the right result. :)
