Now that it is getting a little more like summer, the snow cone sellers are starting to appear. It's so refreshing to have that icy treat on a hot day. You can see the big piece of ice that he scrapes on the right. Then he adds the flavoring and you are good to go. I wonder if his ice lasts all day.Thursday, May 14, 2009

That's a popular snack here in Hawai‘i, though we have shops that sell them year-round.
I wonder if that is that like a slush puppy that the shops sell here. I bet its refreshing though.
We don't have this kind of sellers , but summer is in the air ;)
Wonder if hand-shaved ice tastes beter than the machine crushed type? LOL! Yes, sure signs of summer. I think they store more blocks of ice in the insulated box below.
I've never had one of these before, sounds refreshing.
some of the best things about summer are some of the most affordable ones too...thank god for small mercies! :)
