At the Cherry Blossom Festival they had a table where people were playing the board game Go. I looked it up on Wikipedia and according to them "Go is a strategic board game for two players. It is also known as igo (Japanese), weiqi (Chinese) or baduk (Korean). Go is noted for being rich in strategic complexity despite its simple rules.
The game is played by two players who alternately place black and white stones on the vacant intersections of a grid of 19×19 lines. The object of the game is to control a larger portion of the board than the opponent. Go originated in China more than 2,500 years ago, and although it is not known exactly when the game was invented, by the 3rd century BC it was already a popular pastime."

c'est impressionnant a voir, mais j'ai jamais rien compris aux règles, mon frère y joue pas trop mal
it is impressive to see, but I never understood the rules, my brother played not too bad
I've seen that before too. Great shot of the players concentrating on the game.
For a minute I thought maybe it was a game of Othello. I have never heard of Go.
I like this photograph as well. The game sounds interesting. I have to start by collecting enough of the stones. Hmmm. Hawaii has some black pebble beaches, no?
