Tower

The tower going up in the center of this photo will be the new One World Trade Center when it is completed. This weekend the new memorial garden will be dedicated at the former site of the World Trade Center, in front of the new tower. I'm thinking of all of those lives that were lost there.

Just heard the news now about the state of alert in NY, its un nerving.

Not sure about the building in your previous post, very interesting, and complex and a deviation from the norm.

It will take a while for those of us who lived and remember the past NYC skyline including the Twin Towers to recognize this new view as the profile of NYC, but eventually we will. Perhaps a pair of the new Fredom Towers, side by side, might have been a better, living memorial to those lost, but the new sunken garden and falls are very moving from what I have seen. But most important, those lost on that day will not be forgotten.

BTW, This is the best photograph showing the construction of the new tower I have seen!

It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since that day, and great to see new buildings rising up.
