Dendur

This is a statue inside the Temple of Dendur at the Metropolitan Museum. I've never seen it so quiet in the Egyptian wing of the museum as it was that day. Everyone else was seeing the McQueen exhibit during its final weekend. It was a real treat to have the place practically to myself.

Those times when one can be almost alone in a museum area are indeed a treat. The image fits the subject, too!

Haven't stopped by in a while so I thought I'd take a new look. You still have a distinctive eye and bring the curiosity you describe to life in your pictures. A true pro is always a lifelong student, but you have definitely become a pro! Thanks for sharing your New York.
