Warhol Statue

There's a statue of the artist Andy Warhol displayed near Union Square by New York's Public Art Fund. The statue by the artist Rob Pruitt is on a pedestrian plaza on Broadway and is close to the location of the studio where Warhol worked. It will be on display until October.

I like the little "Red Heart" touch on Andy. Looks like a great place to sit and enjoy the day!

Curious as to what he'd think of the concept of having a statue in his honor...an atist's work is usually all the monument they ever get. I'd think he'd be pleased, and appreciate the almost colorless rendering as a foil to his work. A cool photo!
