I liked the contrast between the older and newer architecture here. I don't know who designed the new building. I think it was in the East Village. Have a good week.

A wonderful contrast, indeed! Have not seen it yet but guessed it might be part of NYU or Cooper Union. Found it:
"The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art... new academic building...boasts a bevy of green building strategies. Designed by Morphosis, the project replaces the existing Hewitt Academic Building and incorporates many of the demolished building materials."
