This is a statue I came upon recently in the courtyard of Jim Kempner Fine Art, a gallery on West 23rd Street. I think it's quite beautiful. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the artist. You can read more about the gallery here.

I could not find anything out about the scuplture or artist, either!
Looks like a sad, or praying person. Interesting that its in such a barren courtyard.
