I would love to have a little terrace like this one on West 100th Street. Some outdoor space would be really nice. I guess the park will have to suffice for me!

Bread

No, I didn't have a trip to France recently. This was some good looking bread in the window of a French restaurant in Brooklyn. Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the place. There seem to be a lot of good restaurants now in Brooklyn. I know I was very tempted by this window!

Bryant Park

Bryant Park is filled again with picture takers and sun bathers. It's such a lovely spot to spend a few minutes, especially if you work in midtown!

Brooklyn Building

I've always thought this building in Brooklyn is very interesting with its wrap-around murals. I'm afraid I don't know anything about it other than I think it is between 6th and 7th Avenues in Park Slope, Brooklyn. (Can't remember if I've shown this building before. Sorry if I have!) Cupcakes

Aren't these cupcakes pretty? They are from the Cupcake Cafe on 9th Avenue and 41st Street in Manhattan. The cakes they make there are really works of art. And these cupcakes were delicious too! Maybe I'll go back tomorrow for more! Wishing you a very pleasant weekend.

Flea Market

Now that spring is here the flea markets are in full swing. This is a shot from the Hell's Kitchen Flea Market. Located on West 39th Street, this particular flea market is open every Saturday and Sunday and you can read more about it here. Last weekend it was strangely uncrowded. Hopefully they got more people later on!

Umbrellas

After a day of constant rain and drizzle here I'm ready for some cheerful colors. This umbrella was part of an advertisement in Time's Square recently. Can you guess the store? It might be hard to guess without seeing the whole ad.

New York Times Building

I was running an errand recently in midtown and took this shot of The New York Times building. Located at 40th Street and Eighth Avenue it was designed by the architectural firm Renzo Piano Building Workshop. You can see a series of photos by the renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz about the building and its construction here.

Walk the Walk

Okay, I've finally taken a few more photos and can post again (at least for a while!) This is a photo of a performance art exhibition which took place at Bryant Park last week, called Walk the Walk by the artist Kate Gilmore. As part of the installation seven women dressed identically and walked across an 8-foot-high box at the western end of the park. It was drawing quite a few onlookers when I was there.
