Bethesda

The last big storm missed us completely and Washington, DC got all of our snow! This photo of the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park was taken after the first snow this winter in December. We are expecting a big storm this week and I can't wait!

A facinating image, Lori! And while it could simply qualify as a great shot of "The Fountain" in its wintry splendor and being enjoyed by the crowd, another look reveals that you captured a moment of when so many others are taking photograps themselves! In just a few seconds, I spotted at least six. How many can you see? An very interesting record of the human desire to preserve an image of a precious moment of time. Which you did yourself, in a remarkable way.

What a great shot. A first glance it reminded me of a Breugel painting of the winter, like "The hunters returning home". Frame it.
