High Line

I went last weekend to take a look at the new High Line. It's an amazing park that was built on an elevated platform from the Meatpacking district to Chelsea. It's a gorgeous place with wonderful views and lovely plantings. I can't wait to go back!

Good use of the walkway!

Have to get in and up there soon! Eventually the High Line, originally an old railroad freight line that kept many trucks off city streets, is planned to be "greened" all the way to 33rd St. or so. Can one run up there, or is it strictly a walking venue?

I was there twice before I left NYC. What an amazing concept -- a park in the sky.

I miss NYC. :-(
